A new report, The Journey to Belonging in the Twin Cities, offers a blueprint for making the Twin Cities more welcoming for immigrants and refugees, while strengthening their inclusion in the regional economy. The report was put together by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, St. Paul Area Chamber, and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The report focuses on four key areas:

  • Connected communities
  • Safe communities
  • Equitable access to education, housing, and healthcare
  • Economic and workforce development

The release of this report is not the end of this project, but the beginning of the next stage. Both cities and their chambers of commerce will be working to implement the recommendations from the report, and are eager to connect with individuals and groups engaged in complementary efforts.
