After a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the 2024 Internationalizing the Curriculum and Campus (ICC) Conference returned on Friday, March 22. More than 200 faculty, staff, and students from all five system campuses gathered at the conference to share and learn about the work driving global learning forward at the University.
The conference was last held in late February 2020, on the eve of the pandemic, so the theme of Leveraging New Realities: Innovations, Successes, and Challenges was chosen to highlight the adapting of efforts toward internationalization to new and ever-evolving realities.
The conference included 23 total sessions over the course of the day with topics ranging from a workshop addressing xenophobia to a presentation on how language courses are utilizing TikTok. A poster fair highlighted an additional 12 projects that are internationalizing the campus.
