Travel helps expand Sámi programming at UMD

The Kathryn A. Martin Library at the University of Minnesota Duluth has one of the largest Sámi collections in the world. Library Director Matt Rosendahl recently traveled to Sápmi, the traditional lands of the Sámi people, to visit cultural centers, museums, and libraries and meet with people working to preserve Sámi language and culture.

Alfred Owre's Legacy Continues with Relative's Visit from Norway

The University of School of Dentistry’s past, present and future came together as Moos Tower hosted a special visitor from Halden, Norway. Fridjtov Owre, a great-great-great nephew of the influential Dr. Alfred Owre, School of Dentistry dean (1905-27), paid Moos Tower a special visit.
