Working through the Law School's James H. Binger Center for New Americans, the team rendered assistance to Afghan guests at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.

Samia Osman and her friends, Khadija Ali and Sumaya Abshir, noted a mammoth humanitarian crisis in Somalia, so together they formed Unity for Humanity—a project meant to raise money for and awareness of relief efforts in Somalia. 

The Institute on Community Integration trained people with disabilities and non-profit organizations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on advocacy strategies, including the use of radio and social media to raise awareness about disability rights.
